RUSSIA
The continent of Asia is the world's largest and
most populous continent, inhabited by over 4 billion people. Asia includes the
world's most populous country, China, and Russia, the world's largest country.
Asia's borders lie to the west of Africa and Europe and the Pacific Ocean to
the east.
Let us know some such things about Asia and Russia, the largest country of the world, which will prove helpful in increasing your information.
Russia, which stretches over a vast expanse of Eastern Europe and North Asia. Russia, the major republic of the U.S.S.R. (the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) or the Soviet Union, became an independent country in December 1991 following the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
Russia, by far the largest country in the world, is
almost twice the area of Canada, the second largest. It extends to the whole
of North Asia and the eastern part of Europe, which has 11 time zones.
And encompasses a large range of environment and
landforms, from deserts to deep forests and arctic tundra. Russia includes the
Volga, Europe's longest river, and its largest lake, Ladoga. Russia is also
home to the world's deepest lake Baikal.
The
inhabitants of Russia are quite diverse. Most of the ethnicities are Russian,
but more than 120 other ethnic groups also exist, speak several languages and
follow religious and cultural traditions. Most of the Russian population is
concentrated in the European part of the country, especially in the fertile
region around the capital Moscow. Moscow and St. Petersburg (formerly
Leningrad) are the two most important cultural and financial centers in Russia
and among the most picturesque cities in the world. However, Russians are also
populated in Asia.
Climate:
Russia is anchored to the north and east by the
Arctic and Pacific Oceans, and has small portions in the northwest in St.
Petersburg on the Baltic Sea and in the isolated Russian territory of
Kaliningrad which includes Poland and Lithuania.
South Russia borders with North Korea, China,
Mongolia and Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia. In the south-west and west it
falls within the border of Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia and Estonia as well as
Finland and Norway.
On the basis of geological structure
and relief, Russia can be divided into two main parts - western and eastern -
roughly along the line of the Yenise River. In the western part, which occupies
about two-fifths of the total area of Russia, the lowland plains only prevail
over vast areas broken by vast hills and plateaus. A large part of the area in
the eastern part is mountainous, although there are some extensive lowland
areas. Given these topical factors, Russia can be divided into six main relief
zones: the Kola-Karelian region, the Russian Plains, the Ural Mountains, the
West Siberian Plain, the Central Siberian Plateau, and the mountains to the
south and east.
Government Politics:
It is
similar to the United States. President of russia "President of the
executive" The big difference is that the President of Russia has the
ability to dissolve Duma (Duma is like the Indian Parliament). If the
government is not working properly, it can remove all of them and start an
election. But no law can pass without Duma, so time has the most importance.
The president may present laws but cannot vote on them. The Prime Minister of
Russia is the head of Duma. He is usually appointed by the President on the
recommendation of the Duma for his position. The Prime Minister of Russia gets
to appoint all the officials (who work with the President). The Prime Minister
of Russia also decides the agenda on which bills will be discussed and which
will be voted on. The prime minister can call for a vote of confidence. Gain
confidence. If the vote of confidence fails, he is requested to report to the
President and request that he terminate the Duma.
